The Prevent strategy is alright but there are issues of tolerance that I have. Tolerance is a very good thing but there are religions that contain with them an intolerance of British values especially issues such as Democracy. Therefore, if we have an open discussion of religious faith and we outline the different religions, do we leave unchallenged aspects of those religions that are clearly dogmatic, misogynist, anti-democratic? What about people who are Humanists? They deserve to have their views heard and yet all of the monotheist religions will openly state death to the non- believer. Do we just shrug our shoulders and say ' Well that's their religious belief and we must accept it?' The recent Scottish hate bill is the start of a dangerous path to religious views taking precedence over secular views when it really should be the other way round as in France. Viva La France!!
I understand the need for safe guarding but this course really was not relevant to the clients I care for.
Needs to be in a broader context as it is looking at children and young people, we do not all work with young people
I think the questions are a bit trivial. I think a case study based on a real story would be useful.
Some problematic statements incl on “British values” and silent on race/faith which we know leads to erroneous referrals.

some of the questions contradict what's been said in the slides, and some are confusing as they read true or false and next time different? some asked have not been covered at all its too time consuming. it doesn't take 30 minutes as quoted but over double some taking 1-2 hours maximum there are too many notes. disheartened when failed had to take test at least 3/5 times to get a pass. needs reviewing when you think you are up to date more expire and need to be redone. with a busy workload its too much time out of your working day
At least the course was a far reach from the original governments extremely racist initial course. Some of the course content should be updated with the advent of AI and the use of online content to influence young people. What can appear to be innocuous can be quite the opposite as demonstrated by much of the mainstream online media in their incessant drive to recruit younger viewers.

The course was fine, but it's more for those working with children rather than those 16+
