Female genital mutilation (FGM) is a vey sensitive topic as the perception is that it is culture or religion and done to be pure makes it seen as not harmful and good for females. I found the content was clear and informative. It was highlighted the lack of medical benefits and the severe health complications associated with the practice. Additionally, it was emphasized the importance of reporting suspicions to protect the health and rights of girls and women. Great statistics and data on FGM helped underscore the urgency and scale of the issue. Highlighting global initiatives in the UK and organisations working to end FGM was very clear. The further information on where to find support or how to report FGM is very helpful for me should I need more guidance.
