Basic and not very interactive

Was very basic, felt lots would be covered by general coshh trg. Noted wasn't very interactive although clear and concise. Mentioned handling gas cylinders safely but then didn't expand on how to handle safely or cover safe storage such as upright, secured in cages. Course mentioned Zones (0,1,2 and 20,21,22) but didn't refer to ATEX (although did mention EX signage) and no mention of equipment classification that can be used in Zones such as fans in LEV being Atex Rated. Good for General awareness but was expecting a bit more ..for example on how zones are defined. Would like to see an 'advanced' level of training provided as well as this basic awareness.

Fine, but very simple

The information was good, however, it was so simple that a 30 second trip to the HSE website could have yielded it.I suppose my company is paying for the information to be pre-dissected, with the relevant parts presented, and you did that. The format was great, and easy to use. I did it in one go, but I imagine your system makes it very easy to do in pieces. A nice touch. Thanks

content fine, presentation questionable.

I found it very difficult to follow the course due to the poor diction of the presenter, in fact, the only way I could follow it was to switch on the transcript. All of the courses prior to this one have been excellent to follow, but this one? Sorry, but very disappointed with the presentation - content very good, as usual.

Brief but gets the main points across

I would like to have seen more information about ATEX equipment and sources of ignition examples, such as static, mobile phones etc. Overall, it gives a good foundation for DSEAR Awareness

Could be better

A few of the questions were repeated with different answers, one of the answers were wrong

The course was fair

The course covered the duties of the employer and the employee well. I felt it lacked examples specific to the contracting sector E.G. non-sparking tools. I would have liked to see more on control of ignition sources from things like weldin, cutting grinding. Also i think further explantion of the LEL by way of examples and discriptors or diagrams would have been helpful.
