It is often stated whether or not an employer will require you to get a DBS check. But generally speaking, if you are working around vulnerable people or children, then you are likely to require one. It is not something that everyone is expected to have, but if you are hoping to go into an industry working with these people then it might be a good idea to pass a DBS check.
