Q - When should Reference be sought, before or after interview. I said after, and was marked incorrect but course content states Step 8 is Interview, Step 9 is reference

At some times can be hard to concentrate on the content as modules are quite short and disconnected. Made worse by the ever-changing cast of on screen presenters.

It is targeted at the Education sector so is it entirely relevant.

The content was clear but I couldn't find a way to print off the slides for future reference. Additionally, the tab for the link to access the Safer recruitment document wasn't working either, an error message kept popping up.

There was a question of 'Which of the following would be acceptable references when considering a candidate?' I answered this with 'Written reference from their most recent employer on headed paper' it stated this was incorrect, I then continued with the test and had the same question 2 questions later, I then chose a different option which then was also wrong but stated the first answer I gave was correct, not sure what happened here, but it stated my answer was wrong when it was correct and it also gave me the question twice.

The course wasn't for me as the video clips kept on freezing but I liked the summary as they were clear to read and understand. I am happy also that there is no time limit for doing the tests as I am not very good at doing tests.

I find these training courses have good content but they are so frustrating for those of us who can read quickly. I don't need someone reading out the text to me like I am a child and would much prefer to read at my own much faster pace. I do find it rather patronising and this reflects my rating.

The course, of course, has very good up-to-date content. However, the methods by which it is presented could be better. It would be nice to have a resource (document) where all the information is presented - not just for the test but for reference in the future. Staring at someone talking for 50 minutes can be rather difficult in terms of absorbing all the information.

The course was fine and helped me refresh my knowledge. I would have liked to have had a different course to the one I originally completed. Possibly shorter and a focus on recruiting from abroad considering the current shortages being faced in education.
