Comprehensive and well presented course.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. My perception of lone working was limited. This course has covered all of the areas relevant to lone-working and has equipped me with the tools necessary to function efficiently in the work place. Very well constructed and presented course and would therefore recommend this course to anyone who is interested.

Good

I did not expect such focus on the potential danger of other people. I expected focus on avoiding slips, trips and falls, and an increased caution to reduce the chance of this.

Not really suitable for our work place.

Not really suitable for our work place. It would be better to do a course that deals with lone working in the field or lab and not every day situations

I found the presentation to be very good in terms it was clear and well explained. The presenter spoke well and went through each of the issues thoroughly and concisely.

Lone working laboratory or field work?

The main emphases in this course appeared to be personal safety from an assailant. This is of course incredibly important. More emphasis should have also been included on lone working in a laboratory setting or out in the landscape/fields where no one else is around. Therefore letting others know where you are, what experiment you are running and associated risks, time scale of the experiment, checking in and out when you are finished. If in the fields, on farm land or other external location then supplying location (GPS, What3Words), what you are doing and associated risks, contact details (mobile phone, signal strength not guaranteed), completion time and checking in (Buddy system). This would be more appropriate for Rothamsted Research.
