Outdated

Felt very dated - several facts were now incorrect and most points are common knowledge.

Personal Environmental Awareness actions

The presentation focused on how we can reduce our impact on the environment. Often the impression is given that this is something recent but reducing greenhouse gases was being talked about in the late 70s soon after the hole in the ozone layer was discovered and tackled. The solving of the ozone crisis gave hope that greenhouse gases, although a bigger problem, could also be tackled. In starting work, I walked to work for 14 years and cycled for 8 years, in this time I saw no great enthusiasm around me to make sacrifices, indeed cars just keep getting bigger. I hope this presentation does encourage people to reduce their environmental impact (and some will) but we really need action to improve building regulations around insulation of new homes, solar panels as an integral part of new build, action to improve the existing building stock and above all, how can our company improve the environment impact we have corporately?

Alright.

A bit simplistic. The population graphic, with Africa filling up with people first and the most, is racist. It is the least populated continent on Earth, but the one which the rest of the planet is hell bent on controlling the population of, whilst simultaneously extracting natural resources for green initiatives.

Good education

Engaging, positive but some issues..

1. The Butterfly effect is drawn from chaos theory and it has a very specific meaning. There are statements in the training such as "climate change is an example of the butterfly effect" which are not true. 2. The illustration of population increase showed dark dots multiplying and spreading out over a world map from a centre somewhere in Africa... This is an unhelpful illustration considering the historic overlap of racist views with concerns about overpopulation. 3. Finally, why does THIS training include our actions at home? None of the others do. Fossil fuel companies have tried to distract industry from meaningful action by displacing responsibility onto individuals - in fact, they invented the idea of the carbon footprint in order to do just this.

The lag between pages was long.

The lag between pages was long. There were no internet issues impacting any other apps that I was using. Ironically, this consumed more energy than was necessary.

It was ok - very basic

The language used in the presentation is out of date - 'global warming' as a phrase is seldom used nowadays in sustainability discussions.

Diet,less meat and dairy!

You shouldn’t be telling people about changing their diet, start eating less meat and dairy or stop eating meat and dairy altogether!
