basic, repetitive, condescending

Aimed at primary school kids, no need to brainlessly sit through slides as questions common sense

2/5
Perpetuated several misconceptions

Some excellent suggestions for individual actions but also presented some significant misconceptions, such as trying to apply chaos theory to climate (rather than weather, which is what the 'butterfly effect' refers to). Several sources and statistics were also quoted out of their proper context resulting in false statements.

Very basic, repetitive, too long

For the content presented, it should not be an hour course. 20 min would be enough. Ironically it was a waste of energy. I am no more or less knowledgeable on the topic after completing this training. Not recommended, unless you/your staff has NO environmental awareness AT ALL.

2/5
It was a lot of waffle

There was a lot of waffle and very little content. Also as I work for home and have since the pandemic much of what was said is already being done. No printer - not wasting paper, Not driving to work = less pollution. Turning computer off makes sense as I am paying for the electricity. I think the environment awareness is really important and I've enjoyed all other courses but this one felt flat and didn't engage me.

2/5
Not what 'the butterfly effect' means

The course frequently uses the term 'the butterfly effect' , and it uses it incorrectly. The butterfly effect is a term in chaos theory that relates to how a singular small event can start a chain of events which results in a major event elsewhere. What the course was attempting to put across was that lots of small changes together cumulatively result in a large difference. The course was also largely irrelevant to my job in my industry.

2/5
The content is already widely understood

The course content was OK but didn't add value. With the exception of a few statistics that do not need to be known in order to take the right action, the information provided and recommended actions should be general knowledge. A shorter course emphasising the core messages such as the waste hierarchy & benefits of saving energy / water would be better.

2/5
Laborious, repetitive and too long.

2/5
Too long, too much stuff we all know.

I would like to know the environmental impact of 400 staff each spending an hour sitting in front of a PC or mobile device. That's 400 man hours or one man spending eleven working weeks online!

2/5
Too long

the videos are locked out to prevent you from skipping but the video content is too long. simplify the videos to the bare bones of the essential information. maybe add buttons so we can play the video but at maybe 1.5x the speed.

2/5
too long or the content

Very basic and therefore to spend 45+ minutes talking about it was unecessary.
