About this course

Cyber awareness training is a vital part of an organisation’s information security measures.

Cyber-crime costs UK businesses a lot of money (Almost £30 billion per year to be more precise) and causes massive disruption. In fact, each year around half of all UK businesses has at least one security breach.

We are all responsible for keeping information safe when using computers and similar devices, so this Cyber security eLearning course has been designed for everyone to use.

It includes some straightforward practical steps that will help to protect computers, networks, programmes and data from unauthorised access, helping to safeguard the systems and information we use.

Cyber attacks are more prevalent than ever before, with ransomware attacking organisations (such as the NHS), airports, banks, and government departments; the need for organisations to implement cyber security training is obvious. Our Cyber Security Course can be completed in just 30 minutes and helps you to comply with current legislation.

We believe in practising what we preach. That's why we are Cyber Essentials Certified

Nothing new- we've been told this before
RatingRatingRatingRatingRating

We have been given this information before so nothing new for people working in schools

I was locked out of the final test

Why was the cyber criminal always depicted as a fat beardy man in a hoodie hunched over a laptop in the dark? A bit judgmental and misleading as they are many and various in their demeanor! Also, the email used to send this training to me was suspicious as it came from an unknown address and was a " no reply" so I originally deleted it until my line manager explained....

It did the job

Online training covered the content required, but the answers were obvious and it wasn't very stretching. Also think it's interesting that you automatically set the star rating to 5 rather than expecting the person to fill in the form or select if they have skipped this section. Makes you wonder how accurate the data is? This form is definitely bias.

Simple, clear and short

Learnt some new terms and what they meant and what I should do personally to protect my own devices. The course had minimal "waffle" and time filling - was very clear and succinct which I appreciate

I have found the Cyber security training helpful and it is good idea for the employees to do it. It is a consonant reminder for the staff to keep the password safe and other essentials linked with this.

Why is this training important?

Compliance

It's important that you comply with the law and know the ways in which it affects you and the way you work.

Effective cyber awareness training will help your employees remain compliant at all times.

The General Data Protection Regulation builds on the long-standing 1995 EU Data Protection Directive. What does the GDPR mean for businesses? In short, dramatically increased fines for breaches and other changes including:

  • Data breaches must be reported within 72 hours.
  • 'Personal data' now includes location, IP address and RFID identifiers.
  • People now have a right to "be forgotten".

*The GDPR comes into effect on the 25th of May 2018. You can register your interest in our upcoming GDPR training.

The NISD

A complimentary directive to GDPR, which focuses more on critical IT systems and their infrastructure.

Business benefits

Cybercrime is incredibly disruptive and costs UK businesses almost £30 billion every year.

The damage it causes is not only financial, however; in a world that is increasingly digital and data-heavy, with an ever more tech-savvy customer base, the costs in lost revenue, reputation, and investment are just as detrimental. Then, there are the data protection laws which come with massive fines should personal data in your possession fall into the wrong hands. To make your stand and fight back against cybercriminals, you need a solid defence. This cyber security awareness training course is just the thing you need. It raises awareness of the key issues and main avenues of attack and provides solutions and defences against would-be criminals; protecting your money, your data, your reputation, and your customers.
