What is the GDPR?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It's a new law that will aim to 'unify' data protection for everyone within the EU. It will give residents a whole new set of rights, including:
- The right to control personal data.
- The right to obtain complete access to personal data.
- Correct or permanently remove their data.
- Deny the use of their personal data.
With the GDPR already being enforced, many businesses in the UK are already preparing themselves for the new law (You'll need to be compliant by the 25th of May 2018), but don't panic if you're a long way behind or are confused about the regulation - we are here to help.
