Find out more about Xavier Poulson
When did you join iHASCO?
I joined iHasco at the end of March 2021.
What do you do there?
I write and develop the courses, as well as the occasional blog.
What did you want to do when you were at school?
Embarrassingly, I wanted to be a rapper when I was eleven years old. I would even write my own bars, but I soon came to my senses and realised that my voice sounded terrible. However, I’ve always been passionate about writing stories and poetry.
What do you get up to when you’re not at iHASCO?
I’m usually either working on personal writing projects, hanging out with friends, or playing golf. I also set aside time to read a new book every week.
Where in the world would you most like to go?
I’d like to travel to New Zealand to visit family and watch the All Blacks. I’ve also got more family in Canada that I’d like to see at some point.
What’s your favourite food?
Anything that’s meat off the grill: ribs, burgers, steak - you name it. I’m also a big sushi fan.
Tell us something we don’t know about you…
I rocked a purple mohawk when I was sixteen for a few months. Needless to say, I looked ridiculous.
Favourite book or movie?
All three novels in The Millennium Trilogy by Steig Larsson are personal favourites of mine, although there’s plenty of other books that I’ve enjoyed just as much. American History X, Oldboy, and The Shining are great films that I’ve rewatched many times.
