World Day for Safety and Health at Work is a day celebrated by the International Labour Organization. It’s part of a global strategy to reduce work-related injuries, diseases and fatalities worldwide by raising awareness of preventative safety and health. In many countries health and safety authorities, trade unions and health and safety practitioners organise activities to celebrate this day.
And this year special emphasis is being put on ‘green’ issues, keeping a high level of health and safety while at the same time moving towards a greener and more sustainable economy.
We support any initiative to increase awareness of health and safety at work. If you’d like to read more about this, or even take part please click this link to World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2012 : Promoting safety and health in a green community.
